Patient Resources

Bring helpful notes into the first conversation.

You do not need to diagnose yourself or know which treatment to ask for. This page helps you gather symptoms, prior care, medications, health-history details, and questions so we can start with a clearer picture.

Start with what you know

Tell us what hurts, when it happens, what you have already tried, and what you hope daily life can look like with less pain. Even incomplete notes can make the visit easier.

A few details can make the visit easier.

These notes come from the Spring River Health and Wellness brochure and turn the medical cautions into a simpler checklist. Bring what applies to you, and we can talk through it together.

What to tell us first

Tell us what hurts, how long it has been happening, what you have already tried, and how it affects normal activities. It also helps to bring up current medications, blood thinners, implanted devices, pregnancy, cancer history, infection concerns, blood pressure concerns, seizure history, liver disease, cardiovascular disease, and any history of blood clots.

Symptoms and goals

Pain location, timing, previous care, what helps, what worsens symptoms, and what you hope to do with less pain are useful starting points.

Health-history details

Medications, implanted devices, bleeding risk, pregnancy, cancer history, infection, blood pressure, seizure history, and other cautions can affect which options are worth reviewing together.

Details we should review together

Not every therapy is right for every person. These are the kinds of topics we want you to feel comfortable bringing up before we talk through treatment options.

Implanted devices

Tell us about pacemakers, defibrillators, brain stimulators, insulin pumps, pain pumps, screws, implants, or other devices before therapy.

Bleeding or clotting history

Blood thinners, bleeding disorders, DVT history, clot concerns, thrombocytopenia, hemophilia, and frequent NSAID use are important to mention.

Pregnancy, cancer, or infection

Pregnancy, cancer history, open wounds, active infection, recent steroid injections, seizure disorder, blood pressure concerns, liver disease, and cardiovascular disease are important to review together.

Questions for specific treatments

These notes are not a substitute for instructions we give you directly. They are reminders of what to ask before PEMF, Shockwave, Cold Laser, PRP, Ketamine Infusion Therapy, or other treatment conversations.

Before and after PRP

Ask us about avoiding NSAIDs, alcohol, and smoking around treatment, limiting strenuous activity afterward, and whether ice or heat should be avoided for a short period.

Before ketamine treatment

Ask us about fasting, appointment length, comfortable clothing, monitoring, possible side effects, and arranging a driver after treatment.

PEMF, Shockwave, and Cold Laser

Ask which treatment area is being discussed, what temporary side effects may happen, whether devices or wounds matter, and what to expect before, during, and after the visit.

Not sure what applies to you?
